Description:

Calci-Jen IF 35% is a radiopaque paste based on calcium hydroxide with iodoform, which is used in dentistry for:

• Direct and indirect pulp capping:  Protects the pulp under a filling or when exposed.
• Temporary root canal fillings:  In primary and permanent teeth.
• As a liner:  Prevents pulp from coming into contact with the acidic environment of filling materials.

Composition:

• Calcium hydroxide
• Iodoform
• Water
• Fillers
• Stabilizers

Properties:

• Antibacterial action:  Iodoform fights bacteria, which prevents pulp infection.
• Stimulation of dentin formation:  Calcium hydroxide stimulates the formation of a dentin bridge that protects the pulp.
• Radiopaque:  The paste is clearly visualized on an X-ray, allowing you to control its distribution in the canal.
• Easy washout:  The paste is easily removed with water before permanent filling.

Indications for use:

• Indirect pulp capping
• Direct pulp coverage (during pulp exposure or pulpotomy)
• Gasket material
• Temporary root canal filling

Contraindication:

• Allergy to paste components
• Acute inflammatory periodontal diseases

Instructions for use:

1. Clean and dry your mouth thoroughly.
2. Remove the cap from the syringe tip.
3. Attach the cannula to the syringe with Calci-Jen IF 35%.
4. Carefully apply the paste in several layers to the desired thickness.
5. Let each layer dry or blow dry with compressed air.
6. Do not apply the paste to the edges of the filling, and if it gets there, it should be carefully removed.
7. During endodontic treatment:
   • Prepare and clean the canal.
   • Introduce Calci-Jen IF 35% paste into the canal using Lentulo or NaviTips cannulas (Ultradent).
8. Seal the tooth.
9. It is recommended to take an X-ray to monitor the canal filling.
10. Close the syringe cap after use.

Recommendations and warnings:

• Avoid contact of the paste with the soft tissues of the oral cavity and eyes.
• If the paste gets into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water and consult a doctor if necessary.
• Store the syringe in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight.
• Do not use the paste after the expiration date.
